1966 AUSTIN HEALEY SPRITE, that is simply the finest Sprite that one could image, a gorgeous Red with a full complete ground up build delivering a rust free presentation with a full new engine, drivetrain and suspension, the photo and receipted documentation of the 1275 cc engine that is ‘new’ today, this was initially done with the article that is the June 2016 Healey Marque Magazine that is 10 pages of photos and extensive write-up, then the final work at Fraser Dante, it is really fantastic! Gregg Cameron and his son Jonathan set out to "save" this Healey Sprite and restore it to the highest level possible that the original factory would envy, over 2,000 hours labor brought it to the exacting standards you see before you today…this is even before the final work at Fraser Dante with its ace British mechanic did the final restoration as the first team just ran out of steam, the enthusiasm and love for British cars and sports cars in general brought this father and son together for the project of their lives, Dad is an ex-racer well known to the Southeast racing and building of sports cars and along with the fully grown son have worked hand in hand to build this ground up restoration, has the fully built engine to standards better than new, initially completed in July of 2016 in a just gorgeous bare metal Torch Red paint, this very amazing rust free body and full chassis presents just amazingly, the hard work and dedication put forth during this project can be seen in every detail as the car remains in freshly restored condition, then for the final work, Fraser Dante spent some 10 hours with our professional British tech setting the valves and do the final engine adjustments with the carbs restored and tuned, thusly fully checked for excellent performance, there is an enormous photo file in the 2 binders of this build to document the work for historical and investment purposes, now to finish the completed look, a black custom tonneau cover is part of this build, just the finest Austin Healey Sprite this writer has even seen, car better than new from the factory, has such ‘great eyes’ as the car is better than new from the factory, before restoration with VIN HAN8L62768, body number ABL 053260, engine number 12V/5877/110440, Full wiring diagrams, After the above engine work, then the final road testing and setup of the carbs, valve settings, timing and linkage was accomplished by the top British technician at Fraser Dante ready for the setup for Fall 2018 driving, this went to a good friend of ours who now we have from his estate, we now have set up just great but still will need some break in as it is really ‘new’, see www.fraserdante.com for further information and full inventory
