For Sale: 1968 Dodge Coronet in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This is a real R/T 440, with original 4-speed, Dana 60 rear and super desirable factory color combination. The condition is exceptionally high from top to bottom, in and out.

EXTERIOR: What a great looking car! This R/T has really slick paint, better than it left the factory with. It's buffed out and polished like glass. Jambs are slick too. New weatherstrips. Body is straight with no issues. Panel fit flush and square. Upfront the grill is mint, R/T emblem is new, bumper is show quality. The chrome on the hood scoop has been replaced. The windshield and gasket is new. All the stainless trim around the roof and windows has been polished. The chrome round marker bezels are new, mirror, handles, emblems, wheel well trim are new. In back it has the Bumblebee stripe, tail panel is in outstanding condition, show chrome bumper and correct exhaust tips. New chrome Magnum 500 wheels on reproduction Wide Oval Redline tires.

INTERIOR: Beautiful. It is in excellent condition. The door panels are new, cranks, handles, armrests are mint. Tops of doors are painted white. The upholstery has been redone, good cushions. Headliner, console, and carpet are great. Has embroidered R/T floormats. The dash area is excellent, nothing's broken, missing or beat up. Has the factory radio and tachometer. There is a stereo and oil pressure gauge neatly installed under the dash.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is show quality condition. The entire engine bay has smooth, shiny gloss red paint. The metal is really impressive too. No damage or rust. The factory seems spotwelds are clean. Bottom side of the hood is painted, has the insulation, rubber seal and latch is painted black. The engine has a real nice coat of Mopar orange paint. Upgraded with an Edelbrock intake painted orange to look stock. Has new Edelbrock carb. Everyrhing is neat, proper and clean. Has Mopar radiator with the proper shroud. Has the washer bottle, squirters are all hooked up, wiring is neat, the brackets, pulleys are all good. It also has the original Fender tag attached.

UNDERSIDE: Very impressive! The metal is clean, clean, clean. The factory seams and spotwelds are crisp. The lower inner 1/4s are dry original, still has its drain plugs. The bottom is painted a clean semi gloss black. The front end was apart, rebuilt and detailed. The brakes, hoses and lines are replaced. Bottom of motor is spotless. 4-speed looks spotless, linkage looks new. In back it has the heavy duty Dana 60 rear with posi and chrome cover, new gas tank and air shocks. Parking brake cables are complete. Has a great sounding Flowmaster exhaust with correct tips.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very slick! Trunk compartment is beautiful. The red paint is just about as nice as the exterior. There is a matching brand new reproduction Redline with a brand new Magnum 500 wheel. Complete jack assembly mounted properly. Has new mat. The jamb and the bottom side of the trunk lid is glass red, has new weatherstrip seal.

The colors, equipment and the high quality make this a stand alone car. I see many, many cars and this one really impresses me!
