Current, finished June 2018, total body off restoration back to original other than addition of modern conveniences: radio, carburetor and updated rims and radial tires. All of the original parts go with the car. # Matching motor and transmission. Transmission was rebuilt with new lines. Engine has had valve job and all new gaskets. All original parts are restored, reconditioned or replaced with new. The exhaust system is new. It has a new windshield and the wiper motor has been rebuilt. Since I have been a mechanic for 45 years I have driven the car for 250 miles to make sure it is sound, dependable and that all parts, motor and transmission are working properly.
The car has been block sanded several times until the panels are laser straight. Painted 3 coats single stage paint, block sanded and an additional 4 coats of Black paint. Wet sanded by hand and polished to a mirror finish which gives the car a "depth" you will have to see to believe.
The bumper and moldings have been re-chromed and polished. All emblems have been newly replaced. (I have originals). New lenses, new door handles and mirrors inside and out.
Interior has 3 hides of red leather, professionally recovered and applied in the original design. Interior switches have been rebuilt or replaced. The speedometer and clock have been professionally restored
All cardboard, leather and chrome of door panels have been redone.
Trunk has been restored to original with mat and cardboard. All trunk and motor decals replaced. New convertible top has new motor, pistons, lines and switch. Convertible frame has been painted and chromed where needed. Brake and Fuel system, all lines and hoses have been replaced with new.
All weather stripping and gaskets are new.
