Vehicle Description
STK 2458 1971 Chevrolet El Camino
The third generation El Camino began production in 1968 and
continued through 1972. Most bowtie folks consider these models to
be the 'Best of Breed' when it comes to looks and performance. This
all-original (except for one respray) 1971 El Camino is a solid
example of this classic model. The current owner has had the Chevy
for the last 10 years and it has been very well maintained. The
professional, two-stage Lime Green respray (2006) is accented by a
black vinyl top in good condition. A distinctive matching green
interior is totally original - vinyl bucket seats, dash, door cards
and headliner all in good condition. It is equipped with A/C (new
compressor/charge), tinted windshield and factory AM/FM stereo
system. The spare tire is stored behind the driver's seat and is
concealed by the factory spare tire cover. The El Camino is powered
by a 350ci small-block that is the original engine. It appears to
be the L65 version that mounts a 2GC Rochester carburetor. The 350
puts out 245bhp and is backed by a 3-speed Turbo-HydraMatic
transmission. Suspension components include power steering, power
disc/drum brakes and 15"x8" GM Rally Wheels that mount BFG Radial
T/A tires. All of front-end suspension components including the
coil springs were replaced/rebuilt in 2010. A new dual exhaust
system was also added around that timeframe. If you are looking for
a classic, original El Camino come drive this beauty - it just may
just end up in your garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
