1930 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan
The Tudor sedan body style was one of the first Model A body
styles. In fact, the "mysterious new Ford" seen on the streets of
Detroit in the fall of 1927 was indeed the new Model A Tudor Sedan.
The most popular of all Model A body styles, the Standard Tudor was
available in all 4 Model A years, with well over 1.25 million of
them being built between 1927 and 1931.
This Ford Tudor Model A sedan has many modifications, upgrades and
would be considered under the category of street rod. A complete
body redo, interior redo, as well as engine and suspension upgrade,
this car is ready to roll. You also have the option to take care of

Exterior
A steel body dripping in Maroon paint blankets the exterior of the
car. Beautiful flourish pin-striping add highlights to the car, and
at points resembles a dainty peacock. Running boards in ribbed
rubber, join the front and rear fenders which have been eyebrowed.
Original style chrome exterior lighting hangs from the front and
back of the car, and in front frames a beautiful black open
radiator, again with the look of the period. Underside of the car
looks clean and mostly oil free. No rust in the frame, or underbody

GS 53 wheels look like shooting stars and are wrapped by standard
slightly wide rubber radials all around. Some areas of rust induced
cracking are seen throughout (in particular) where A pillars meet
the roof, where running boards meet the rear fenders, where hood
meets cowling in front of windscreen) Please see photos.
Interior
Gray square stitched pattern crushed velour adorn every interior
surface excepting the floors and dash. Wonderful wide bucket seats
in front and a bench seat in back in a draping of gray velour door
panels, and headliner. Gray carpeting fills the floor and appears
in good condition. A Jet Black steel dash houses a horizontal
cluster of reproduction vintage instrumentation with chrome fields
and black numbers and lines, which are framed in beveled round
chrome bezels. A new performance steering wheel with the Ford logo
in the middle sits atop a large adjustable column.
Drivetrain
A 1973 Maverick 302ci V8 topped with a Holley carburetor is backed
by a C-4 automatic transmission. An 8-inch differential puts the
power to the rear wheels, which are integrated to the frame via a
4-link solid drive axle and coil spring suspension. Drum brakes in
the rear and disc in the front, where A arm coil spring independent
front suspension resides. 2 Saddle fuel tanks holding 7 gallons
each, can be switch activated via a toggle under the dash.
A mid 1980's build, this roadster has been everywhere east of the
Mississippi, as the consigner believed in using his purchase. He
kept up diligent maintenance and repairs, and it remains a good
solid daily driver, or pack it up and go for a long haul. By no
means is the car perfect, however can easily be made to that point.
The consigner did want to get in over his head and wanted to make
use of his eye catcher, so he merely maintained it!
