Vehicle Description
1929 Ford Model A Woodie Station Wagon Show Ready! In 1929, Ford
produced over 1,500,000 Model A s, of those, only 4,954 became
Woodie Wagons. This is an exceptional example of a well-loved and
cared for Woodie that has been in the same family for 32 years.
Prior to the purchase of the current families ownership, it was
owned from 1961 by a Michigan resident who brought it from New
Hampshire. As the story is relayed to us, the restoration was
completed over a 15 year period and finished in the late 90 s to
early 2000 s. It has traveled less than 2,000 miles since
completion. It was Appraised in October of 2013 and the appraiser
stated that the overall condition was 95 out of 100 points in his
opinion. He stated that the driveability , was indeed, one of it s
strongest features. We know you ll be excited to be the new owner
and you ll love all of the smiles and appreciation from those that
see it. This Model A Woodie is much more than the amazing part of
automotive history that is so much of what fuels the interest in
the hobby we love, it is also a Family Heirloom that deserves the
continued stewardship that it has received from the previous
owners. History Overview: In 1929 the most apparent change made in
the Model As appearance, aside from brighter trim and body paint
were the exterior door handles on open models. With production
rapidly increasing, more body styles became available. A
wood-bodied station wagon introduced on April 25th was officially
considered a commercial vehicle. The model As base price included
many standard equipment features such as a combination tail and
stoplight, windshield wiper and a Spartan horn. Bumpers were not
included in the base price for all years of production. Production
of the first million Model A Fords was completed on February 4,
1929. The two-millionth Model a Ford was built on July 24, 1929.
