The 1965 GTO was the muscle car that gave birth to the entire idea
of putting large displacement engines in mid size cars. But unlike
some other stripped down, no frills muscle cars, the GTO did it
with class, flair, and stylish good looks. This particular GTO has
taken those qualities, and brought them into the 21st century.
Bluetooth? You got it!! Navigation? Check. Air conditioning? It's
here!! The attention to detail and quality of work on this GTO are
staggering. Under the hood the original 389 has been tossed out and
replaced with a monster 428CI V-8 sporting dual Edelbrock four
barrels on a high rise intake. MSD ignition makes sure all that
fuel lights off reliably. All that spent horsepower exits through
long tube headers down to a full length true dual exhaust with
electric cut outs for when you want to wake the neighbors up or
scare someone at a traffic light. Dressing it up under hood are
custom chrome valve covers with laser etched emblems, chrome AC
compressor and alternator, and chrome master cylinder cover. The
V-belts have been tossed in favor of a March serpentine belt set
up, and hydroboost unit has been installed for power brake assist.
Steering is full power assisted, and proper engine cooling is
ensured by a custom four core aluminum radiator with electric fans.
The original transmission was ditched in favor of a Tremec T-5
5-speed feeding power to a GM corporate 10 bolt rear axle with 3.43
gears and posi-traction. The chassis and brakes are upgraded also,
with larger sway bars front and rear, air shocks in the rear for
that proper rake, and disc brakes at all four wheels to bring this
magnificent machine to a hault without any dramatics. The Torch Red
paint is in immaculate shape and has a great luster. All chrome
front and rear is in outstanding condition, and the Crager S/S mags
with white letter tires are just what the doctor ordered for this
hot GTO. Inside is every bit as custom, with Dakota digital guages
ringed with custom laser cut bezels, wood grain three spoke sport
steering wheel, and under dash AC vents that appear factory fit.
Between the dash and the center console sits a custom Pioneer
AM/FM/CD/DVD player with touch screen, navigation, and bluetooth.
In the center console are hookups for USB or AUX inputs, so you can
play your favorite songs from your phone or Ipod as you cruise the
avenue looking cool and slaying other cars. This GTO drives like a
dream!! It'll hang the rear end out at a touch of the throttle,
shifts with ease, and turns and stops better than any muscle car
could ever hope to. It's been on the HOT ROD power tour for the
long haul from FL to MI without any problems. You could daily drive
this classic if you wanted to, its that nice to be in. If you want
one of the most amazing classic American muscle cars ever
assembled, then hurry in today or email
