Vehicle Description
STK 2436 1976 Mercedes Benz 280SL R107
The Mercedes Benz 280SL was manufactured from 1971 through 1989,
being the second longest series ever produced by the automaker. The
SL/R107 is a 2-seat roadster with a soft top and a detachable roof.
It is a perfect illustration of the automobile "engineered like no
other car in the world". Nice original versions of these roadsters
are quite rare on the resale market. Our 1976 280SL shows 84,100
miles on the odometer. It is a European 'Gray Market' model with
correct import paperwork. The current owner has possessed this 280
SL for the past 10 years. The factory Dark Green exterior, tan
leather interior and manually operated soft-top are all in good
condition. In addition, the factory Dark Green removable hardtop is
also included in the sale. Standard comfort options include:
AM/FM/Cassette stereo, air conditioning and tinted windows. The
roadster is powered by a 2.8L M110 straight-6. The version of the
M110 used in the 280SL was designated M110.982, a DOHC design w/2
valves per cylinder and Bosch fuel injection. The silky smooth
motor produces 182bhp and 176lb/ft of torque and is backed by a
3-speed automatic transmission. The Mercedes has power steering,
4-wheel power disc brakes (10.9"d) and distinctive 14" factory
alloys that carry a nice set of radials. This classic Mercedes
280SL will provide all the driving fun you want with a luxurious,
open-air ride for much less than the cost of a Mazda Miata. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
