For Sale: 1965 Chevrolet Corvette in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

A long list of investments, an A/C interior, arguably the best factory color combo, and an enhanced V8 deliver the total package in this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette.

Nassau Blue is this car's original color, and it's a great look on a Sting Ray. Like the hue's namesake, it's bright and sunny, with a hint of paradise. On the Corvette's instantly recognizable curves, it looks fantastic. There was $16k invested in 2014 on a professional respray, and a quality application means it retains a level of gloss and shine that's far superior to what the factory offered. There's even a car cover and front bra that comes with the sale to protect this classic. You can easily tell from the pictures that the fiberglass is in great condition, and it lines up straight to showcase the creased lines of the C2 body. But the part that you'll really like to know is that all the brightwork is complete and clean - from the thin bumpers to the cursive Corvette script on the rear. And of course, the iconic C2's premium appearance would not be complete without the knock-off wheels.

Inside, the sea of blue continues on this tropical ocean Sting Ray. This factory-correct color continues to look great thanks to investment in the last few years that include new seat covers, carpeting, headliner, and dash pad. The C2 interior is always a favorite with the now-iconic dual cowl design. This also creates the perfect cove for the driver with the grippy three-spoke sports steering wheel, and beyond that is the full gauge panel - including large speedo and tach. This one is built to be a grand touring machine, and so you have the right comfortable features - from the vintage AM/FM radio, to the cold air conditioning that's now running R-134a for easy servicing.

The engine bay looks bright, fresh, and powerful. That's because the motor has been invested in heavily for durability and power. You have a 327 cubic-inch V8 that's been enhanced with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and Hedman headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. We have recipes that show thousands $$$$ were also spent on the right new supporting components, including a new starter, power brake booster, power steering, and gas tank. Plus, there was a new aluminum radiator w/electric fan installed within the last year, and so this one knows how to stay cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C running. And one look at the clean undercarriage tells you about the level of care this one received. And as a true grand touring Corvette, it feels good on the road. The fully-independent sports suspension, Powerglide transmission, good bushings, and four-wheel disc brakes are all part of a great classic cruising package.

This C2 is coming off of long-term ownership, and we have $25k in receipts over the recent years. It proves that this was a well-respected icon, and that's exactly what we're all looking for. So don't miss you chance, call today!
