chassis of the outgoing 456, the 550 was positioned as Ferrari's
top of the line model, featuring a comfortable interior, nicely
sized trunk, a front mounted 5.5L V12 engine and a rear mounted 6
speed manual transmission. The world's press gathered at the
N�rburgring to see the unveiling of the newest Ferrari grand
tourer. Most did not believe that a front-engine V-12 could
