HISTORY OF THE SILVER CLOUD II
Rolls-Royce introduced the refined Silver Cloud II in 1959. Now
powered by the new L-series 6.2 litre V8 engine the Silver Cloud II
was capable of over 110mph. The Silver Cloud was the last of the
separate-chassis cars from the Crewe, England factory and every
detail was hand-fitted or assembled by true automotive artisans.
Considered a rolling piece of sculpture by many, the Silver Cloud
II is a prized model with collectors today for the Silver Cloud I
appearance powered by the now legendary L series V8 engine! Only
2,417 were assembled before the launch of the restyled Silver Cloud
III in 1962.
