Vehicle Description
The Lotus Elise was a small two seat sports car first introduced in
1996 and had a had finished fiberglass body shell atop its bonded
extruded aluminum chassis that provided a rigid platform for the
suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum.
It was initially powered by a Rover engine but that was switched to
a Toyota engine when the Series 2 model came out in 2001. The
second generation model featured updated styling as well as updated
feature list. The 1.8L inline 4 Toyota engine made about 189hp and
was mated to a 5-speed manual. With less than 2,000lbs to push
around, this little mid-engined sports car was an excellent handler
right out of the box and was highly praised for its agility and
communicative steering.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 2006 Elise for your
consideration. Finished in Canyon Red, this little Elise is in
great shape inside and out and has seen just 22k miles between its
last two owners. Originally sold new in South Carolina, the cars
second owner purchased it in 2012 and took it to Florida. The
exterior is completely stock and retains the factory alloy wheels
and removable targa top. The interior features bare metal finish
and black leather sports seats. The interior is spartan but
functional and is equipped with just A/C, power windows, and a
Blaupunkt radio. In wonderful shape and a blast to drive, this
little Lotus comes with two keys, owners books, and is ready to hit
the autocross circuit.
