For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Real Z-28 (code X33) and correct to it's original tag. Extremely rare color combination. Rarely was an orange deluxe houndstooth interior used in any Camaro other then the pace car. Claimed to be only 3 made like this one. The collector bought this car in very nice shape and took it to another level. I bet at least $10,000 was just spent detailing, making it factory correct. It is show ready.

EXTERIOR: Factory Dover white (code 50) is polished literally as smooth as glass. You can't even feel the stripes. Body is straight as a razor, panels fit right. Has factory spoilers (code D80) and exterior style trim group (code X33). Up front is detailed, correct gray grill was just installed. Every piece of exterior chrome and trim is new. The stainless is polished like chrome, even the wiper arms! Jambs are slick paint and detailed. New weatherstrips, sill plates and window seals. Brand new reproduction Goodyear GT wide tread tires. Restored wheels with new trim.

INTERIOR: RARE orange deluxe houndstooth (code 720) and it is restored and detailed. The cushions are new so the new upholstery fits tight. Deluxe molded door panels are new, carpet, headliner, visors, dash pad are new. Dash area is restored- new plastic bezel and heater control panel so the chrome sparkles. Deluxe includes rosewood trim too. Even inside to glove box, ashtray and around the rear speaker tray looks new. Has factory gauges in console, 8,000 RPM tachometer and clock rebuilt with quartz movement. Updated retro stereo.

MOTOR COMPARTMENT: It was just detailed to a pretty high level. It was made to look like it just left the factory. Correct smog system was added, correct Delco reproduction battery was installed, all the GM hoses and correct clamps were used. All the finishes are fresh. The DZ 302 motor has a clean, fresh coat of Chevy orange. Original aluminum intake was bead blasted and looks new again. Has correct, nicely polished finned aluminum valve covers. Brackets, deep groove pulleys, hood hinges look new. Firewall, core support, inner fenders all neatly painted. Has correct ink stamps. Brake booster and master are detailed. Cowl induction system is complete. Under the hood is satin black with new insulation.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Nicely painted, has new mat. Included is a collapsible spare with air bottle and restored jack. Jamb and bottom of trunk lid is painted slick.

UNDERSIDE: The bottom of this Z was just detailed. We have before pics showing the untouched original floors. They were spotless, zero rust. They were cleaned and a nice coat of satin black paint was applied. Gas tank and shocks were replaced. Front end was rebuilt and recently painted and detailed. Bottom of motor has a clean coat of Chevy orange. Trans and linkage look new. Correct Muncie M-21 4-speed (P9A29B). Correct 3.73 posi rear (BU E). It looks really good under this car.
