With ZL-1s approaching the million $ mark, here is an opportunity
to buy an authentic tribute at a fraction of the cost. Done to
factory specs including an actual all aluminium GM 427 motor. It
has recently finished a nut and bolt restoration and it is highly
optioned.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: It features a rare, all aluminum ZL-1 427 motor
rated at 600 hp and 593 lbs of torque! $20,000 invested in the pro
built and dynoed engine. Runs on pump gas. Only 69 Camaros and 2
Corvettes were made total with this engine. About 200 more engines
were sold over the counter for racing. Under the hood of this car
is all detailed like factory new. Has correct aluminum heads and
intake with the GM snowflake. Big Holley carb on top with
functional cowl induction. Has factory deep grove pulleys so the
belts don't fly off at high RPMs. It has the correct radiator with
gooseneck, GM hoses and clamps. New master cylinder, cadium plated
booster. New wiring Everything is neatly painted and detailed. Has
correct spring clamp battery cables and Delco battery topper.
EXTERIOR: Completely restored with a smooth glass finish paint
right into the door jambs. Every exterior piece of trim is new.
Bumpers, stainless, window seals, weatherstrips, emblems, lenses
are new. Even the wiper arms are polished. All of the glass is
replaced. It is pretty well decked out too. Has the Rally Sport
including functional headlight doors, relocated reverse lights and
pin stripe. Has Style trim group which includes the louvers on the
quarter panels, rain gutter and wheel well trim. Has spoilers and
functional cowl induction system. New radial redline tires on color
matched rims with poverty caps.
INTERIOR: It is completely, 100% restored from carpet to headliner.
It is fully optioned out too. Has the deluxe interior with
houndstooth seats and molded armrests. Has power windows, console,
gauges, tachmoeter, rosewood trim and deluxe wheel, tilt and clock.
When I say it is all new I mean all of it- gauges, heater controls,
cosole, seat cushions, headliner, even in the glovebox and ashtray.
There is quartz movement in the clock.
UNDERSIDE: Completely restored and detailed. The floors are
spotless clean metal and really look to be original. Has factory
spotwelds along rockers. Front end is rebuilt. New shocks, brakes,
emergency brake cables, brake lines. New fuel tank and lines. Has
optional chambered exhaust. New clutch, shift linkage and drive
shaft.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotlessly clean metl with a nice spatter paint
finish. Restored rim with reproduction tire, new jack and mat.
This is the ultimate Camaro. If it were born this way it would be
$1,000,000. There is no way to tell it isn't. If your neighbor asks
