This is an all numbers matching original owner car. I have only put on less than 90 miles on it since purchasing it in 2014. It comes complete with 283 V8 with a two speed power-glide transmission. The car was driven by the owner since it's purchase in November of 1965. This car is from Bellflower, CA was also first sold in Bellflower, California from George Chevrolet dealership that is still in operation today. The car was assembled in Southgate, California and has never left the state. The Impala has a few small blemishes here and there. What would you expect from a daily driver car that is 52 years old? It was driven by it's owner until 2014. After owner's passing, her grand daughter sold it to me in 2014. She asked that I never hot rod it or butcher the car and keep it in original state.
There are a couple tiny rust holes about 3/4 of an inch in diameter by rear passenger fender (behind the wheel) and in the trunk, the size of a dime. The center console is damaged on the passenger side and needs repair or restoration. There is a small ding in the hood and the vinyl dash cover needs replacing.
The car runs and drives! The carburetor is a little tired and needs warming up before driving. As you can see from the photos the car is in really good shape. It even has the original poly-glass spare tire. The A/C does work, wipers, speedometer, heater, radio, all interior and exterior lights work, power steering, blinkers, horn and heater all work. The clock does not work. I also have a few extras to throw in. Such as original plates, original floor mats, dealership plate frame, original hubcaps, GM Protecto-Plate booklet, photo of the original owner/driver (Shirley) her husband was the registered owner, but she drove it), and reproduction door arm rest pads. I immediately changed the oil and filter after purchasing it. I replaced rear shocks and alternator, generator and battery 21/2 years ago. There are a few small miscellaneous parts in the trunk and all the wiring is in excellent shape. From what I was told, the car has mostly been garage kept. A small chrome portion around the headlights was replaced. I have it in the trunk. The reason I am selling is because I will be moving in a few months and cannot take it with me.
