1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 For Sale - Numbers Matching Boss 351
Engine, Fully Documented LMC is very proud to offer for sale this
1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 For the 1971 model year, Ford
introduced a drastically redesigned Mustang. To this day the design
is scrutinized, but sales were still strong compared to the
competitors. For that year and that year only, one model stood out
and would be looked at as being one of the best balanced
performance Mustangs ever built and the last of the series of
impressive BOSS cars. Only 1,805 BOSS 351 Mustangs were built
featuring a special version of the 351 Cleveland engine and 4 speed
transmission. With 0-60 times being competitive with the previous
generation 428CJ and the balanced handling of a BOSS 302, they were
fantastic all around cars. Built on December 10th, 1970 at the
Ford Dearborn assembly plant, this BOSS 351 Mustang was delivered
new to Friendly Ford in Fresno, California. It is still powered by
the n umbers matching BOSS 351 engine rated at 330hp backed by a 4
speed Top Loader wide ratio 4 speed transmission and "V" Code 3.91
gear Traction-Lok rear end. The long list of options begins with
power steering, rim blow steering wheels, sport deck rear seat, am
radio, console, dcor group, tinted glass and Magnum 500 wheels.
Being a factory BOSS, it also came equipped with the full set of
instrumentation including factory tach. Today the car continues
to show well, having been tastefully restored, the Grabber Yellow
shows well with all appropriate black striping and hood treatment
on the functional NASA Ram Air. This rare Mustang also comes fully
documented with Deluxe Marti Report that outlines how it left the
factory. The BOSS 351's were the last of the breed and in the eyes
of many, also the best most well balance car of them all. This
particular example offers a great opportunity to acquire a real
BOSS Mustang with a numbers matching engine and one which can be
both driven and enjoyed. Additional Details: 1971 FORD MUSTANG BOSS
