This Elcamino has recently undergone a body off frame restoration.
It's striking looks and strong running 454 make it a pretty
exciting car.
EXTERIOR: Wow, striking is putting it lightly. Somebody just walked
by me and said "that is the brightest red I've ever seen!" The body
is rust free and straight. The paint is slick, it is polished out
like glass. Has correctly painted SS stripes on domed hood. Jambs
are slick, inside the bed is painted gloss red. Up front everything
is new from the grill to the bumper bezels and lenses. The wheel
well moldings are new, rain gutters, door handles, mirrors, trim on
top of the bed have all been replaced. In back the emblem, bumper
and taillights are new. Windshield is replaced. New window seals,
weatherstrips- even around the vent windows. Great looking set of
18 inch Boss wheels. No ugly vinyl top!
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: Has a healthy 454 with big port heads, Edelbrock
Twisted intake with a huge dual feed Holley carb, a set of headers
and HEI ignition. Everything is new under the hood- brand new air
conditioning system, cadium plated brake booster, new master and
lines, alternator, fuel pump, wiper motor etc. Has big radiator
with new fan and shroud. Inner fenders and firewall are painted
smooth. The new heat and air system eliminates a lot of clutter on
the firewall. Underside of hood is gloss red.
INTERIOR: It is completely restored including new reproduction
upholstery, door panels, armrests, headliner, visors, rear view
mirror and carpet. Dash area is restored. New deluxe wheel on tilt
column. Has upgraded Bluetooth stereo, gauge cluster and Vintage
Air climate controls. Has owners manual in glovebox.
UNDERSIDE: Restored and detailed to look practically new. Clean
metal floors have a fresh satin black finish. Front end is all
rebuilt and detailed, new brakes. You can eat off the bottom of the
motor. Upgraded to a 700R-4 overdrive trans for easy highway
cruising. New driveshaft, shocks, gas tank. Very neatly installed
dual exhaust. Has original 12 bolt rear. It looks good under this
Elcamino.
