1973 Porsche 911S Targa

Now available from CPR Classic is this beautiful 1973 911S Targa painted in its factory correct Aubergine over a full leather Brown interior. The car is an example that we nearly fully restored almost ten years ago. This 911S is fully matching-numbers and includes its optional, factory-original sport seats.
We purchased the car back in 2007; while it was in fair driver condition with no rust, it needed a partial restoration to present as a show-level example. The car was completely disassembled and an exterior refinish, including all jambs, was performed. When the car was stripped it was found to have no damage or rust of any kind. The car’s pans and underbody are very original retaining all-original metal including floors, original undercoating and original paint on the belly pans.
This 911 was also fully mechanically rebuilt with a complete engine and transmission overhaul and all suspension components restored or replaced. Following paint, the car received a completely new interior including all leathers, carpet, dash and a restored targa top.
Over the last 10 years since we sold the car, it has resided with two collectors and has been driven sparingly. The second collector, since our ownership, purchased the car in 2014 and only added 1000 miles over the past three years.
Since its arrival back at CPR, we have fully inspected and serviced this S and have found that it is in nearly the same show-level condition ten years later. Following a thorough undercarriage detail, we chose to re-plate some of the car’s undercarriage hardware as our plating process has improved over the years. We also replaced the front and rear brake pads and rotors as well as completely restored the exhaust and heater boxes. The car also received a brand new set of Koni shocks and strut inserts. It is now fully sorted and ready for delivery anywhere in the world.
This is without a doubt one of the most-well-kept 911S cars available. The car has never been neglected and has had all of the correct work performed to show and drive as an immaculate example. It is ready to be driven or shown at any Porsche event in the world. If you are in the market for a 911S Targa in a rare color combination with all of the right options, this is a must-see example.
