1970 Porsche 911 S Coupe
Stock Number 2284
Now available from CPR Classic is one of the finest examples of a long-hood 911 that we have ever restored or sold. This 1970 911S is a two-owner example that was delivered new at El Camino Porsche Audi in San Carlos, California.
The original owner ordered the car at the factory in Stuttgart and provided a blue leather sample to have the interior completed in. The story and special interior color is documented through the cars history and its COA. The interior is listed as “Leather to Sample” on the COA. When the car arrived at CPR several years ago for its restoration, the original interior was intact and allowed us to replicate the identical color and inserts that the car was delivered with.
The original owner purchased the car and had it regularly serviced at DM Motors in Palo Alto, California. The original owner of the car and the owner of DM Motors were long-time friends and when the original owner passed in 2012, the owner of DM Motors purchased the 911S from his family and commissioned CPR to complete a concours-level restoration.
The car retains all of its original metal and is one of the straightest, unmolested 911s that we have ever restored. It retains every piece of documentation since new- that includes every brochure, manual, service records, warranty book, every registration, photos of the car throughout its lifetime and much more. This is, without a doubt, the best-documented early 911 we have ever had with absolute verifiable history. It is also fantastic to see this kind of story where the gentleman that worked on this 911S for years and years purchased it and has carried forward the car’s outstanding story and documented history.
The front and rear over-rider bars were installed early in the cars life and the second owner chose to restore the car to exactly as it was equipped when he serviced the car throughout its life.
This is one of the more special long hood 911s in existence with unmatched history and documentation. This example is ideal for any high-profile collector and cannot be ignored by someone who wants a perfectly documented 911.
Original options for the car are as shown on its COA:
Comfort equipment (air conditioning)
Tinted glass all around
