For Sale: 1967 Ford Mustang GT in Las Cruces, New Mexico

Vehicle Description

1967 Mustang GT Fastback, S code 390 V8 big block engine, 4-speed manual transmission, deluxe interior, front disc brakes.  Built in San Jose, CA. January 25, 1967.

Here are some of the highlights of the two-year rotisserie, nut and bolt, inside-out restoration.

Drive train, suspension, fuel and electrical:

All of the following have been professionally rebuilt: Engine with roller cam and hardened valve seats, Holly carburetor, transmission with new bearing and synchros, rear differential with new ring gear, pinion and bearings and limited slip clutch plates, radiator, power steering pump, power steering cylinder and control valve.

All of the following have been replaced with N.O.S:  Upper and lower control arms, ball joints and tie rod ends.

All of the following have been replaced with new concourse quality reproductions:  Gas tank, fuel lines, alternator, ALL the wiring stem to stern, headlights, backup lights, turn signal mechanism, reproduction Autolite battery, transverse mounted muffler and the list goes on.

All of the following have been replaced with current production new parts:  Clutch and pressure plate, front rotors, calipers and shoes front and rear, rear drums, master cylinder, fuel pump, water pump, starter, exhaust pipes, Bilstein shocks and more.

Interior:

Interior has new concourse correct molded carpet, headliner, floor console, roof console, seat upholstery, seat belts and door panels and dash pad, refurbished original instrument cluster, refurbished original fiberglass panels and proper working fold down rear seat and side air vents and more.

Body:

This is a rotisserie restoration with only minor repairs.  A dented frame rail and a few non correct accessory mounting holes welded up. Absolutely no cancerous rust anywhere.    New primer and paint all around with proper re-creation of factory transition of transmission tunnel black to undercarriage rusty/brown.

Tires and Wheels:

Five new Scott Drake Styled Steel Wheels and five new Coker Tire Firestone F70-14 Wide Oval Tires.

Other:

Engine compartment and trunk have proper decals and trunk has N.O.S. jack, handle and spare mounting stud and wing nut.

And now the lowlights:

At some point in this cars life it was in an accident that damaged the front passenger fender and drivers rear quarter panel.  To the best of my knowledge they were replaced when original factory parts were still available.  The front fender was just a bolt on repair. The rear quarter panel would have had to have been cut out and then welded but it must have been done by very talented body repair personnel because if I didn't point it out you would never know.  Also, during the rotisserie restoration we replace the radiator bracket with a N.O.S. bracket.  The radio and cigarette lighter are not wired up and there is no speaker.
