Vehicle Description
Here is a blast from the past. This time capsule is all original
with only 17,398 actual miles. You are buying it from the original
owner. It was a special edition by Gemco for the Ford dealer. From
the custom paint to the shag carpet and swivel seats, it is the way
it was bought new! Has a pile of documentation including original
invoice.
EXTERIOR: It definitely screams 1970s. It has the factory dark
nectarine brown paint with the custom work overlayed over it. The
body is mint- rust free, accident free. Up front it has big chrome
push bar, yellow fog lamps and a lower spoiler. The grill is in
excellent shape. Each side has aluminum running boards with a set
of vintage Thrush side pipes underneath each one. On top it has pop
up sunroof and rear window louvers. It is a flareside bed with a
roll bar, spot lights, wood grain chrome top rails and a tonneau
cover. The original aluminum American Racing 15-inch wheels have a
set of BFG tires.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting inside the truck, wow I just went back in
time. It has thick brown shag carpet on the flor, console and even
up to the ceiling. 2 brown naugahyde high back swivel bucket seats
with a custom center console. There are 2 gold colored reading
lamps that look like they're right out of a 1970s motorhome. The
dash is absolutely brand new looking. I mean it's not even dusty,
the lenses, chrome trim, paint on the glove box is literally
flawless. Has a vintage Clarion cassette player and equalizer. It's
never been smoked in, actually it is a cigarette lighter delete.
Door panels are perfect, window cranks, handles and steering wheel
are flawless.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is completely stock with original 351
Cleveland motor. It has it's original decals and ink stamps,
manifolds, smog pump etc. Carb is replaced with factory type.
UNDERSIDE: No rust. It has a light coat of rust proofing from new.
The original spare has never been out of the truck.
What fun you can have with this truck. It is "far out". It's not
just a 1977 truck, it highlights the vibe and the style of that
time. For many of us it's a fun reminder of our past. It is
actually a popular trend now, the "shaggon wagon" vans are really
in demand too. Finding one with this low miles all original from
the one and only owner is rare find. And it wasnt customized later,
this was right from the Ford dealer like this. Love it or hate it,
it puts smiles on peoples faces and sparks conversations!
