The hot rod is perhaps the most uniquely "American" of all cars.
Each is a statement of individual taste that reflects the builder's
sense of style and design. Though every hot rod is unique, many
share a common beginning. Going back to the earliest days of the
hobby, the 1933 Ford roadster, like the car offered here, has
always been a premier choice as the canvas upon which the builder
can create his masterpiece.
This all-steel body has been masterfully worked into one of the
finest hot rods available anywhere. Built on the original 1933 Ford
chassis, the car is powered by a brand-new 383-cu. in.
BluePrint-built small-block Chevrolet V-8 engine. With aluminum
cylinder heads giving 10:1 compression and three Deuce aluminum
intake with triple Super 97 Stromberg carburetors, this car really
moves. Power is directed to the asphalt through a built 700R4
automatic transmission backed by a highly desirable Frankland Quick
Change rear end.
The car rides on a classic leaf-spring suspension on the front axle
which is paired with a coil over shock setup at the rear. Under the
car is an extremely rare set of early Boyd Coddington wheels.
Documentation on file shows that this particular set was likely cut
by the legendary hot rodder himself, making this a very unique
addition to this already special car.
As good as this sinister hot rod runs and drives, it looks even
better. Miles-deep black paint is contrasted with polished radius
rods, a smoothed shovel nose grille, and a brand-new maroon pleated
interior. The black painted dash is clean, well-organized, and
perfectly offset by the classic Banjo' steering wheel and polished
steering column. With no hood sides, the highly polished small
block Chevy engine shows at all times and makes it clear, even when
standing still, that this car is built to move.
Offered from the private collection of legendary NASCAR crew chief
Ray Evernham, this Ford is built from all the best parts and is
clean, smooth, and brutally fast. From the raked windshield to the
fat blackwall tires, every inch of the car says, "look out!"To view
