This special one-off Phantom II was ordered in October 1929 and
delivered to Hooper and Company in February 1930 for it's bespoke
dual-cowl coachwork. The only one made, this sporting PII, rarely a
phrased shared together, was made for Sir Julien Cahn, later the
1st Baronet Cahn, a British furniture magnate. The styling of this
Rolls-Royce was so spectacular and special, two different model
companies have created scale models honoring it. The PII has
immense presence but its shapely figure gives it a racier look
other PII's can't share. Restored as per its ordering sheet, the
car is sans bumpers which enhances the PII's sporting mission. And
as if it wasn't long enough, there are two spares mounted on the
rear giving it even greater length.
The car has a known history and is matching numbers. Finished in
black with a red coachline to draw out the matching red leather
interior, this combination masks its vast proportions. It is
terrific in person! The full restoration was just over 20 years ago
with constant care and servicing along the way. She starts up
instantly and pulls strong through all the gears. It comes with a
rarely seen set of RR tools in the rear boot.
