Vehicle Description
Designated the 964 internally by Porsche for this generation of
911, this designation is also used commonly in the industry to
distinguish this model years of 911. First offered in 1989 as a AWD
model only and then 1990 -1994 in a coupe and cabriolet version in
a rear wheel drive designation as well. This model was said to be
85% new and improved over its predecessor, the Carrera 3.2. A lot
of people feel that the 964 was the last model to hold true to the
classic short body style of the early 911's but offer really nice
modern conveniences with out the quirks of a old car. This
particular 964 is in great condition being a South West vehicle
most of its life up until two years ago. Another nice thing about
this specific car is it has had a full mechanical restoration done
in 2016 with engine rebuild with new gaskets, seals, rings, timing
chain, tensioner, crank, cam bearings, clutch ARP head studs, rod
bolts, fan and A/C updated to R-134a specs. Not to mention, this
car comes with every service receipt and invoice since new. Also
coming with this car is the original owners manual, all keys and
boot cover; there is also a clean carfax on this 964. This car has
been driven but more importantly, cared for properly. There is one
small issue with the convertible top that has been sealed.
Fortunately this car has maybe seen rain a couple times in its
life. The interior is like new and the car goes down the road very
nicely.
