For Sale: 1929 Ford Model A in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

With its great display of craftsmanship both inside and out, this 1929 Ford Model A Roadster pickup is an outstanding take on one of the most pivotal and beloved cars ever to roll off an assembly line. It's only logged about 3500 miles since its build and it array of top quality components make it equally adept at drawing a crowd at car shows and turning heads on the street.

We're no strangers to quality paint jobs here, but the deep red on this drop top pulled us in right away. It's a great shade to begin with and sits under a very strong clearcoat, leaving this vintage Ford with a shiny, wet look from front to back. Owing to the sturdy steel body underneath, you'll find no stress cracks sitting under the paint to blunt its impact and, as far as fit and finish are concerned, this classic definitely steps to the front of the line. The collection of chrome, from the intricate front grille and headlight casings and windshield trim on back, is downright impressive and all the body panels sit nice and flush. Both the front and rear fenders are well-proportioned for the sizable rubber they feature - there's plenty of tire and wheel in view, but nothing juts out to pull focus. The broad running boards feature chrome step plates that really look great against the red that surrounds them, and up front the semi-open engine compartment puts the powerplant in view. The removable fabric top is in great shape and sports a pair of intricately etched flowers on its rear window.

The bar remains raised high once you climb inside. The red interior is in great shape - as you'd expect from its light usage, there's no sign of wear on the tuck and roll surfaces of the bench seat and door panels, and both are very well-fitted. The monochrome look of the seating, door panels and carpeting is an effective one, and the billet pedals and instrument cluster with its digital gauges, all of which are in good working order, provide just the right amount of contrast. This Ford has been very well-sheltered, so there's no cracking or fading anywhere in sight. The bed area in back has just the fresh appearance you'd expect based on the high standards elsewhere, with its wood-planked floor well-conditioned and surrounded by unblemished walls.

You don't often come across a vintage ride that combines show-stopping details with the road-readiness on display here. Suffice to say, if a component could be chromed, it has been ... and the result is just awesome. From the back, the bed area sits just high enough that you can see the spectacular combination of fully-chromed Jaguar rear end, dual exhaust and surrounding suspension components that combine with the double A-arm suspension in front to not only make this Model A an attention magnet, but also provide it with a great ride. Inside the semi-open engine compartment, a 350-cubic inch V8 sits in view, painted to match the exterior and wearing a Holley 4-barrel carb on top and a pair of Corvette valve covers on its sides. The powerplant pairs with a 3-speed automatic transmission to make this well-built Ford an easy driver and 4-wheel disc brakes are at all four corners to provide dependable stops as it turns heads on its chrome US Mags - 17" in front and 20" in back for an aggressive incline.

Well-built Model As are always a great sight to behold, but this 1929 Ford Model A Roadster pickup, with its outstanding finish and collection of top quality components, is truly a cut above. Call today!
