Vehicle Description
We sold this Mustang in 2009 just after it finished a complete
restoration. We just bought it back, the owner only put 1,400 miles
in 9 years. This is a very early production known as a 1964 1/2.
The early cars had 260s for a V-8, generator instead of
alternater.
EXTERIOR: It does have a custom paint- white pearl metallic, very
pretty in the daylight. The chrome has been replaced- bumpers,
grill bar with the horse, emblems, mirrors, door handles, 1/4 panel
trim, tail lights, gas cap etc. Has chrome GT style wheels with the
red center caps and white letter BFG tires. Door jams are nice,
rubber is soft. New window fuzzies.
INTERIOR: It has been restored from carpet to headliner and still
looks fresh. All new red upholstery including door panels and seat
covers. The armrests door handles and window cranks are new.
Steering wheel and chrome horn is new. Dash has been repainted, new
dash pad and chrome bezels. Headliner is tight as a drum bright
white. Bright red carpet still looks fresh. Interior lights
work.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: Wow, it's very nicely detailed under the hood.
Engine bay is all smooth clean metal painted a satin black finish.
The motor is gloss black with chrome valve covers and air cleaner.
Upgraded with an aluminum Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake. It
was rebuilt with a mild cam and hardened valves. Stock exhaust
manifolds have been coated. All the components look new- belts,
wires hoses, fuel pump, fan shroud, battery cables etc.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: has new plaid mat in a full size spare drunk
rubber is new.
UNDERSIDE: The front steering and suspension is completely rebuilt.
Trans was rebuilt. Dual exhaust with crossover pipe and it exits
through the valance like a GT. Brakes, lines and hoses were
replaced. Shocks, gas tank and rear springs replaced.
