Vehicle Description
Eric's Muscle Cars is proud to offer this AWESOME SURVIVOR with the
original 1961 title, the original sales invoice, the original
owners manual, and a log book that was started in 1975 on it when
the car had 94,230 miles on it. It now has 124,xxx miles on
odometer. It was driven on a set of Mickey Thompson Rader wheels
since the late 60's when he won the set at a car show. Upon it's
arrival here, the tires on the MT's were old so I changed all of
them out for the original wheels and hubcaps with new Coker Classic
wide whites. The wheels and caps had been in storage and wrapped in
1971 KC Times newspaper. He had also taken the original visors off
and wrapped in the same dated newspaper, they are now back on the
car. An original carbureted 283 with 3 speed. Converted many years
ago to a 1957 Corvette fuel injection and a 4 speed. He preferred
to hand polish as much as he could under the hood. Power steering
was added 11/1/10. The car has never been wrecked. Most all paint
is original. Back in the 60's, he didn't like the front nose flags
or script so he removed and repainted the nose. I have since put
them back on the car as they were intended to be. That is the only
paint work I am aware of. Over the years, I know the dash pad was
replaced as well as the carpet and seats recovered. He removed and
tossed the original wonderbar radio and now it has an old
AM/FM/cassette...on my list of things to yank and put back to
original but never got it done. The original engine was rebuilt
5/1/87 at 103900 miles. There is a matching Roman Red factory
hardtop that goes with the car. The original intake, carb,
distributor, air breather, and a few other parts all go with the
car to the new owner. This car has been maintained, not restored.
You can hop in it right now and drive it anywhere. Last year, my
wife and I put over 850 miles on it in 4 days, 2 of which were on
the Hot Rod Power Tour. I was driver #9 in the life of this car. I
let a buddy of mine drive it one day, so he was driver #10.
