Vehicle Description
We could tell you this 1955 Chevrolet 210 Del Ray Restomod is a
complete and custom build, but you already knew that from the first
impression. While every picture reveals a big investment, don't
forget to look at all the details that makes this a unique and
European-inspired American classic.
This coupe grabs all the right attention. The slippery-smooth
Titanium Silver Metallic color is an instant signal that they
turned this iconic Tri-Five into a very modern machine. In fact,
the color is actually borrowed from a Porsche Cayenne! This also
has large 18-inch Breyton lightweight wheels intended for a modern
BMW. Even details like the side mirrors and door handles were
borrowed from Porsches. So yes, this Chevy is very unique with its
Euro flair. But there's a ton more here than just integrating the
best of Germany. For example, while most '55 Chevy's are known for
a two-tone presentation, this one does it a bit differently. All
the traditional bright work - including the bumpers, trim, bezels,
jet-inspired hood ornament, etc. - was expertly re-finished in a
lighter silver with the same slick clear coat as the exterior
paint. The result as a shine that evenly runs over the whole car
while it highlights the unique monochromatic presentation. So be
prepared to attract everyone from classic car lover to art
aficionados!
Inside the modern tone continues. It especially draws your
attention to extra hints of bright color, like the unmistakable
M-series tri-tone stripes. It instantly let people know the leather
seats were borrowed from a modern performance BMW. Even more
details were borrowed from the Germans, like the three-point
seatbelts and the Mercedes door panels. It's all expertly
integrated into this classic. More than just a unique presentation,
you're going to love this for its premium features, such as power
front seats, power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input, and
provisions for air conditioning. Of course, this is more than just
a coddler. Your right hand is instantly attracted to the B&M
shifter, and your left one loves the grip of the Momo steering
wheel. And beyond that, the full set of digital readouts and the
large AutoMeter tach w/shift light instantly get your senses
tingling with performance.
Grab your sunglasses before opening the hood. They saved the true
bright work for the engine bay, and so we dare you to find another
component that can be polished to a mirror-like shine. And while
you could win awards on presentation alone, there is serious
substance behind the style. This is a 350 cubic-inch ZZ3
performance crate motor with less than 12k miles on it. This V8
includes upgrades such as fuel injection, aluminum heads, steel
crank, roller cam/lifters, and a large Be Cool aluminum radiator to
keep it all running cool. The ceramic coated Hooker headers add
even more power as the feed the center-exit dual exhaust. A
European-inspired car also means one that can handle sharply on the
roads. But to accomplish this, they utilized some very American
components. The traditional Chevy front suspension has been
upgraded to tubular A-arms. In the rear, this utilizes a C4
Corvette style setup to give you a fully independent suspension.
There are just too many new performance components under here to
list (call us for all the details!) but the freshness of everything
from the sway bar to the bushings reminds you how fresh this whole
build is. Because this is the perfect machine for both performance
driving and grand touring, you have a 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission. It provides instant downshifts for performance
driving and overdrive comfort for cruising. Plus, there are other
great driving features, such as power steering, four-wheel disc
brakes, and the modern grip of Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires.
There are so many more details of this build to go over - including
the awards it already won, full photo book, and the magazines that
have featured it. So give us a call so we can go over everything
that proves this Euro Chevy is the coolest and most unique build
you can take home right now.
