Presented here at Cooper Classics is this stunning 1967 Jaguar XKE
Series I Convertible finished in a very elegant color scheme of
Dark Opalescent Blue over a grey leather interior. The previous
owner founded both Jag Atlanta, which was the biggest supplier of
E-Type parts in the Southern United States, and Jaguar Performance
Center Inc., a restoration facility that restored this car. This
E-Type is from his personal collection and he put less than 1,000
miles on the car after completing the restoration in the late 90s.
He considered this his personal XKE and because of his care, the
car has stood up exceptionally well. Even though this was a nut and
bolt restoration the car was in such excellent condition that some
of the original cosmetic interior was saved to create character and
patina. When Cooper Classics received the car we upgraded and
refreshed the restoration to make it more current with new chrome,
lights and engine detailing. Upgrades include a Stayfast
convertible top and an Ansa exhaust system. The car retains its
original 4.2 litre engine producing 268 horsepower and 283 lb/ft of
torque and its original full synchromesh gearbox. This E-Type has
been taken care of by a Jaguar expert since his ownership in 1975
and took home a Jaguar Club of North America Best in Class win when
it was shown in the 90s. The original wooden is not currently
fitted to the car but is in excellent condition and comes with the
car. The car also comes with its original tool roll, jack,
owners manual, documents, Smith clock and Grease gun instructions
and rare front passenger side foot rest.
