Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer what is likely the most
fastidiously maintained and well documented Fiat 124 Spider in
existence. Owned by a retired, Atlanta-based Delta pilot since 1981
until his passing in 2016 and by a family friend since. This car
has been cared for like an aircraft with extensive service logs;
hand written spreadsheets outline every service, repair or "squawk"
from the time this car was six years old.
Excellent body that was stripped and repainted in 1994 with very
good finish quality. New convertible top. Interior shows well and
electricals work as they should. A great running and driving car
with a peppy 1800cc twin cam running a reliable Weber carb and
electronic ignition mated to a slick shifting 5-speed transmission.
Documented engine and transmission rebuild less than 20,000 miles
ago with loads of service since including brakes and suspension.
Brand new tires. Enough spare parts, filters, tune up items and
manuals are included to keep this Fiat running through the zombie
apocalypse (original steering wheel and sun visors are among the
spares).
Unlike so many of these cars that fell into the wrong hands, were
abused and were stored outside in the elements, this Fiat shows as
a well-cared-for and garaged example that has had the right owners
for the past 37 years. Whether you love or hate the '90s paint
scheme (complete with a pretty impressive hand-painted pinstripe),
you will fall in love with the condition and history of this
124.
