Vehicle Description
This absolutely stunning 280 SL was a restoration project of one of
the most respected men in the classic auto industry. The car had a
complete and thorough restoration done on a rust free California
car by Bruce Canepa. The restoration receipts exceeds $175000.Mr.
Canepa's restoration have adjectives attached to them such as
"thorough",'meticulous',and "retentive".This vehicle is a result of
those thorough and retentive restorations. The attention to detail
garnered this car a First Place finish of the pretigious Starfest
event held at the Arizona Biltmore as well as a Best of Show finish
at the MBCA Mile High Charity Car Show in Colorado.
The car was restored in 1990-1991 so the $175000 in receipts is in
1990s dollars and hourly rates. The car went to a car collector and
stayed in his stable until his recent passing. The receipts for
maintenance and upkeep of the car since the extensive restoration
alone would make a car collector proud. In addition to receipts
since restoration the car comes with the restoration receipts, the
awards and a Mercedes- Benz Classic Zertifikat.
