1969 PONTIAC GTO CONVERTIBLE:
--Red with Black Vinyl interior, Black carpeting, Black soft top,
400 Cu. In. V8 engine, 4-Speed Automatic transmission.
Pontiac had redesigned the GTO in 1968 from its original design
developed by John DeLorean in 1963. One of the most
distinguished changes were up front. Headlights were now
horizontal adjacent to the grille instead of the first generation’s
fender mounted vertical lights. This GTO was optioned with
the hideaway headlights and gave the GTO a more distinguished,
cleaner look. The signature hood scoop was replaced by dual
scoops on either side of a prominent hood bulge extending rearward
from the protruding nose. This GTO also retains other factory
extras such as Ram Air, hood mounted Tach, and Endura front
bumper.
This GTO has been through a tasteful resto-mod, while keeping the
look and feel of the 1969 GTO Convertible. Build specs
include new 400hp 400 Cu. In. V8, Edelbrock performance heads,
Demon carburetor, MSD ignition, 4-speed automatic gearbox, new
convertible soft top which retains power operation, Flaming River
tilt column, custom wheels, Hotchkis suspension kit, KYB front
shocks, rear air shocks, new rear differential, new fuel tank,
electric fuel pump, Baer 6 Piston disc brakes, new vinyl seats, and
a new radio with USB.
This GTO Convertible has been recently traded to Autosport Designs
by a good client and towards another vehicle from our
inventory. It is a great driving car and one that has been
tastefully enjoyed by its previous owner who properly stored,
serviced, and maintained the car in his ownership. This GTO
is ready to be thoroughly enjoyed with its top down, especially at
any muscle car show in town. The sale also includes its
original owner’s manual.
