Vehicle Description
EXTERIOR: Better looking then new. The body is arrow straight with
a glass clearcoat finish. I use that expression a lot but this car
really is like a piece of wet glass, I am very impressed. We have
pics of the restoration. The rear 1/4s are NOS and were E-coated.
The front bumper is just as glossy and fits nice. Grills look new,
headlight bezels are very shiny original with a few pits. Turn
signals are new and has a chin spoiler. The Ram Air scoops are
functional and the factory hood tachometer. Windshield has been
replaced. The window seals on top of the doors are new. Has an NOS
rear bumper and the correct exhaust splitter tips. The door jambs
are slick paint with new weather strips and sill plates. The Rally
ll wheels are restored with proper center cap and lug nuts, new
trim rings. BFG tires look new.
INTERIOR: Very nicely restored. I think the light color against the
gold paint is a fantastic combination, very classy. All the
upholstery inside looks great and is the same color- the side
panels, top boot, seats etc. It does have all the seatbelts
including shoulder belts for front and back passengers. The carpet
is real clean and has matching embroidered floor mats. Console and
dash area are very nice. It does have a pretty fancy, removable
stereo system. The convertible top is a light Sandalwood color, not
new but it is in good shape.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Has all good clean metal with a good coat of
spatter finish paint. It does have a matching spare along with the
jack. Also included are stereo components mounted on a board which
is removable. There is a box full of documents and pictures of the
restoration. There is a complete set of new rubber for the
convertible top too. The bottom side of the trunk lid and the jamb
is painted just as glossy as the outside and has new
weatherstrip.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: It is detailed like factory condition. The motor
is painted neatly, has new chrome valve covers. The ram air
assembly is complete. The components are detailed, has a Delco
battery topper. The Ram air motor featured high flow exhaust
manifolds and heads, performance cam, tweaked carb etc.
UNDERSIDE: Metal appears to be solid original. Front end is
completely rebuilt and detailed, new brakes, has sway bar. Bottom
of motor is clean as the top. The matching vin # is stamped on the
block. Has high torque starter. M-20 4-speed looks spotless, has
correct #s. In back it has sway bar, boxed control arms, posi
rear.
Only 174 Ram Air lll with manual shift in a convertible were made
total. Some were 3-speeds, most were Judges. The only difference
between this and a Judge are some emblems, stickers and about
$50,000! Ultra rare and desirable GTO.
