Offered here is a beautiful and rare Silver on Silver 1966
Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 427. Known as the Mid-Years, the
Corvettes from 1963 to 1967 were completely redesigned with the
birth of the Stingray body. They are the highest sought after
classic Corvettes today, especially with a big block powerplant. In
the past five years, the car has been gone through cosmetically and
mechanically to make it one of the best Mid-Year convertibles on
the market.
Our client purchased this Corvette in 1994 out of Macon, Georgia.
He has owned it with pride for the past 24 years. The car is
finished in factory original Silver Pearl (986) paint over the
original Silver (426) interior trim, which is a rare combination.
Only 2,967 Corvettes were painted in Silver Pearl and even less
matched with a Silver interior. The fit and finish on the paint and
interior remains in excellent shape, as does the white soft
top.
This car is powered by a period correct 427ci/390hp V8 motor, which
is accurately stamped as a counter-exchange block - very common for
Mid-Year Corvettes. Power is transferred through the original
4-Speed Manual gearbox with rear-wheel drive. It has the original
side exhaust, knock off wheels, power steering, power 4-wheel disc
brakes, Hurst shifter, and original radio. It has upgraded with a
new tinted windshield, new leather seating, new dash pad, new
carpet, new doors panels, new quartz clock that works, new teak
steering wheel, rebuilt headlight motors, and a new starter.
This is a fabulous example and a true collector Corvette. You won't
find many this nice with this color combination. Be sure to check

for looking.
