New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1955 Ford Thunderbird
2 Door w/Removable Hardtop with gorgeous Gloss Black exterior paint
and a matching black & white vinyl interior. �You'll find a factory
292 cid V-8 engine under the hood with correct 4bbl carburetor and
matching automatic transmission, plus this beautiful example is
factory equipped with power steering, power brakes, power
windows/seating, and so much more. �This highly optioned and highly
original classic muscle car is in phenomenal condition as well and
its available at a steal of a price.�
Fully Restored by Current Owner in Mid 1970's
The current owner of this 1955 Ford Thunderbird purchased it all
the way back in 1970 from the original owner. �He informs us that
this one was a beautiful high-end driver at the time and he elected
to complete a full restoration in the mid-70's; professionally
restoring the factory drivetrain and completing paint, body work
and a refreshing of the interior at a very high level. �This
outstanding muscle car has been driven a total of 30,000 miles
since that time and we have decades of documentation showing the
care it has received across the rest of its life.
Additionally, this 1955 Ford Thunderbird Removable Hardtop still
shows excellent in person with negligible amounts of wear to be
found. �The exterior is still laser straight with everything
aligning properly and the trim work also looks excellent.
�Likewise, the exterior paint could almost be considered flawless
with only the slightest of blemishes present. �The gorgeous
two-tone factory interior will truly take your breath away since it
still shows at the highest possible levels.
In terms of performance, this '55 Thunderbird fires up and drives
like a dream. �The factory 292 motor sounds exceptional and really
gets this desirable muscle car down the road in a hurry when
prompted. �The transmission also shifts effortlessly while the
suspension hugs the road even in tight corners. �In short, this is
one of the most impressive factory original pure drivers we've seen
in many years- it does everything well and sounds excellent.
