enjoy! This 1964 example was fully restored in Florida in 2008,
keeping it the original Satin Silver (940A) paint over the Red
Vinyl (490G) interior. In 1964, there were 13,925 Corvette
Convertibles produced, but only 8,304 Coupes. Convertibles
generally command more attention in most Corvette generations,
except for the second generation, or mid-year, Vettes. With a
convertible, you lose the sloping, fastback-like rear, which is the
most beautiful feature on these cars.
Besides remaining true to the original color scheme, the car is far
from original, which is reflected in the price. We are offering it
as a gorgeous classic Corvette that you can actually enjoy and put
some miles on, unlike others that are either trailer queens or
tucked away in the back of a garage. This car wants to run! It is
powered by a NOM 1970 350 V8 with a 4-Speed manual gearbox. The
side pipes and the '67 hood are also not original to the car,
though give it a nice curb appeal.
Our client has owned the car for 10 years, acquired it in Florida
right after the restoration, and has only put 3,500 miles on it in
that time frame. The only reason he is selling is because he wants
someone to enjoy it more than he has just looking at it in his
garage. He has had regular maintenance performed, such as oil
changes and a fresh battery, and he also added front disc brakes
last year. The car fires on command, runs strong, and is a blast to
