Vehicle Description
This is the last of the 6th generation of Ford pickups. Because of
this truck, the F-series became the best-selling truck in America
and still holds that title. With a 3" lift, a strong 351M under the
hood, and a cool two-tone paint job, this truck is ready to sport
you around in style or get the job done for you, or both. Check it
out.
This is how pickup trucks are supposed to look. That's why this
generation of truck is so popular these days. This one has had a
nicely refreshed paint job in a two-tone of Brown and Tan that just
looks right on these F-150s. Add the windshield visor for a bit of
style, and a 3" body lift for a bit of attitude, and you have one
awesome looking truck. There is a large one-piece grill with the
headlights and signal lights mounted outside of the grill,
surrounded by brushed metal, and underlined by a simple chrome
bumper. The two-tone paint is separated by straight body side
molding along the top, and molding that follow the curves of the
fender wells along the bottom. The tailgate has the embossed Ford
painted in brown on the tan, and is underlined by a chrome, diamond
plate rear bumper.
Open the door and the two-tone good looks continue the inside. The
brown of the door has a tan door panel with a wood tone accent.
There is a newly covered tan bench seat that stretches across the
cab giving you plenty of room for friends, or maybe room enough for
one special person to slide over close for the ride. A two spoke
steering wheel sits in front of a dash full of square gauges with
the speedo in the center and fuel, water temp, oil pressure and
voltage clearly visible off to the sides. A Sony AM/FM cassette
player is there for your listening pleasure and a sliding rear
window provides nice air flow while rolling down the road or
crawling around the mountain. The shifter for the manual
transmission is mounted in the floor next to the one that operates
the transfer case. Tan carpets with floor mats and a tan headliner
help keep things quiet in the cab and look good while doing it.
Pop the hood and you will find a strong running 351 cubic inch
engine sitting in a neat and clean engine bay. A chrome air filter
sits on top of a 2-barrel carb and stock intake that makes great
low-end torque for 4 wheeling fun or just cruising the boulevard.
It's kept cool by a newer radiator and has signs of good regular
maintenance with the belts, hoses, wires, and fuel filter all
looking newer and in good shape. Power flows back through the
4-speed trans and transfer case to solid axles front and rear. The
front axle is suspended on coil springs and has manually locking
hubs. The rear axle sits on leaf springs, and the whole truck sits
up about 3" over stock. Power steering and power front disc brakes
enable you to maneuver this truck around a parking lot or around a
mountain. The rubber meets the road (or the dirt) through
33x12.50R15 BFGoodrich all-terrain tires mounted on great looking
Procomp alloy wheels.
This truck is ready. Ready for you and anything you choose to ask
it to do for you. Come on down and check it out.
