Vehicle Description
This 2+2 fastback has the magical "K" in the vin indicating high
performance engine. The Shelbys were all "K" cars and those start
at $100,000. This one has some very tastefully done upgrades.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Correct HiPo engine that has been upgraded and
runs like a scared cat. Has AFP aluminum heads, aluminum intake
with FAST fuel injection and custom fuel delivery system. Had
complete MSD ignition system and headers. Aluminum radiator keeps
it cool. Also has custom air cleaner, Monte Carlo support bar,
chrome alternator.
EXTERIOR: Has a polished smooth glossy finish. Has the proper GT
and HiPo 289 emblems. Red GT stripes add a little pop. The chrome
is new. In back the bumper, tail lights, GT gas cap and even the
key lock in the trunk are new. Door handles, mirrors are new.
Chrome vent window pillars are real nice. Stainless moldings around
the glass are new, even the wiper arms are polished. Upfront the
bumper is redone, it has original GT fog lamps, below the bumper
has the Shelby style air dam valance. The windshield looks new.
Jambs are nice, weather strips are soft, window fuzzies have been
replaced. It's sporting a polished set of 17" Torque Thrust ll
wheels on performance tires.
INTERIOR: Restored nicemy. The red looks great against the white.
Has fold down back seat and console. Carpet, door panels,
headliner, steering wheel, dash pad have been replaced. Upgraded
custom gauge cluster, upgraded to a 5-speed but it uses the
original style shift handle, also has an AM-FM original looking
radio that's converted to a stereo with kick panel speakers and a
CD changer in the trunk. Has embroidered floor mats. Owner's manual
is in the glovebox.
UNDERSIDE: Has custom exhaust with x pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and
it exits through the rear valance. Upgraded tubular frame
connectors, tubular rear control arms, coil over rear shocks for
improved handling.
This is a pretty hot Mustang. It is fast, sounds great, looks hot.
That warrants the asking price. Being a GT with a K in the vin is a
big added bonus, you're welcome!
