Chequered Flag International is pleased to offer this 1969 Mercedes 280 SE Coupe in White with original Blue leather interior. 4 speed with A/C Power Sunroof Power Steering and Power Brakes. $13000 spent mechanically in the last 3k miles or so. The original matching numbers engine was completely rebuilt by Metric Motors (the Mercedes engine authority) in June 2015 transmission syncros and bearings replaced new clutch fitted etc. Engine number is 13098010008375 and matches the data card. Mechanically it's excellent and really drives very well. Excellent brakes and steering A/C is cold. Excellent body and underside with no sign of prior rust or accidents. Paint is older and weak�body side moldings are the only real detraction�for me. Interior is original and incredible the seats are lovely with light patina in the front. Nice door panels. carpets and roof liner. The top of the dash wood has been redone to a concours quality. I really love this car. Comes with the engine rebuild receipts dated July 2015 other receipts handbook and two sets of keys. Rebuild original numbers matching 4 speed Manual transmission rebuilt by reputable Mercedes master mechanic (Herbert Richter) at German Motor Car Service in Santa Monica CA. All parts for rebuild were sourced from Mercedes Classic Center in Irvine CA. New clutch components replaced by OEM parts. New stick shifter bushings from transmission all through shifter assembly. Rebuild Original starter to manufacturer's specs. New original Mercedes (cast iron) Water Pump from Mercedes Classic Center. Rebuild original Behr radiator and oil cooler by Santa Monica Radiator in Santa Monica CA. New upgraded R-134 Air Conditioner rotary compressor New hoses belts seals grommets etc. Tumble cleaned all aluminum parts to original finish inside the engine bay. Powder coated all painted components inside the engine bay. Cadmium plated (yellow zinc) all metal components (bolts nuts washers metal hose lines throttle linkages etc.).The interior is all original full leather upholstery with a beautiful club chair patina along with undamaged original carpeting.The exterior has an older repaint which still shines well.Inspections encouraged.
