this 1961 Volkswagen Beetle 1200 Deluxe Type 113 sedan is in
excellent condition throughout and is finished in stunning Ruby Red
paint. It is powered by a horizontally opposed, overhead-valve,
air-cooled 1192cc engine with light alloy block, heads and finned
cylinders, cast-iron cylinder liners, four main bearings, solid
valve lifters and a Solex single-barrel carburetor. It has a
4-speed manual transmission, worm and sector steering, upgraded
12-volt electrical system, kingpins with transverse torsion bars
and upper and lower trailing arms front suspension, swing axles
with trailing arms and torsion bar rear suspension, and hydraulic
front and rear drum brakes. The exterior features the original
unitized steel body with original floor pans, 15" rims and tires,
stunning Ruby Red paint, stock chrome trim and bumpers, Wolfsburg
Hood Crest, spring-loaded hood and large taillights. The
undercarriage is as clean as the rest of the vehicle. The interior
features red basket-weave seats with additional seatbelt mounting
points added by the factory, red-and-white door panels with
original driver's side pocket and passenger side armrest, white
perforated head liner, black carpeting, fresh-air heat exchanger
heater box, AM radio, glove box, compressed air windshield washer
and a gas gauge.
