Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a stunning 2005
Honda S2000. The S2000 is one of Honda's most notable vehicles. A
two-seat roadster with aggressive styling, and high-performance
abilities; there's no surprise this vehicle has become a bit of a
cult classic. The S2000 name comes from the S500, S600, and S800
roadsters of the 1960s. In this case, the 2000 designates a 2 Liter
4 cylinder which was introduced with the S2000. A second generation
starting in 2004 referred to as the "AP2" bumped up the
displacement to 2,157cc which was good for 237 horsepower. Backing
the dual overhead cam V-Tec 4 cylinder up front is a silky smooth 6
speed manual transmission which delivers power to the rear axle.
This layout is a favorite for driving enthusiasts, and some S2000s
have been converted to track vehicles thanks to their power,
handling, and reliability. This particular '05 has had a much
easier life. With only 28,086 miles, it's clear this has been a
fair weather secondary car. The unique color is "Suzuka Blue" which
refers to Suzuka Japan where the car was produced. Suzuka is also
home to a race track which is owned by Honda called Suzuka
International Racing Course. These Japanese sports cars are
becoming highly collectible and it's clear why. They're great
looking, fast, and extremely reliable. This 2005 AP2 Honda S2000
would make a great collector's piece. Whether you're a sports car
collector, or new to the sports car hobby, this would be a great
choice. You can see this S2000 in greater detail in our Chicago
showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact
