Vehicle Description
STK 2428 1969 Pontiac Firebird
Designed by Pontiac as a 'pony car' to compete with the Ford
Mustang, the Firebird shared a platform with the Chevy Camaro. Both
had good handling chassis' and, when fitted with the 303ci/475bhp
HO motor, the 1969 Firebird competed well on the SCCA circuit. This
Firebird was the recipient of a recent total restoration. Beautiful
PPG Global basecoat/clearcoat Antique Gold paint is accented by a
professionally installed black vinyl top. A new front 'nose-piece'
bumper cover was also installed. The gold vinyl interior has been
fully restored and is in very good condition. New elements include:
seat covers, carpeting, headliner, gauge package and a RetroSound
AM/FM system with USB/Bluetooth. All new weather stripping was
added and the heater-core and heater controls were replaced.
Windows are factory tinted. The matching numbers 350ci engine is
believed to be completely rebuilt. Upgrades include Edelbrock
aluminum intake and Holley 4-barrel carb. It is backed by Pontiac's
bulletproof 4-speed manual transmission with a factory
console-mounted Hurst shifter. This transmission is also believed
to be totally rebuilt. The chassis is equipped with power steering
and 4-wheel drum brakes. Many chassis components have been replaced
or upgraded: KYB front shocks, master cylinder, wheel cylinders,
front shoes, alternator and battery. The classic Gen I Firebird
needs a new Poncho curator - why shouldn't that be you. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
