This 1968 Datsun 1600 roadster underwent a comprehensive
restoration that was completed in 2013. Finished in its original
color combination of silver exterior paint over a burgundy
interior, it is powered by a 1600cc 4-cylinder engine backed by a
5-speed manual transmission and has 41,774 original miles. It is
equipped with dual Hitachi carburetors, front disc brakes, rear
drum brakes, independent front suspension with A-arm and coil
springs, and live-axle rear suspension with semi-elliptical leaf
springs. This roadster is in good mechanical condition and is
show-ready with numerous accolades, including an AACA Senior First
Place Award, and Best in Class and Best in Show at Roadsters at the
Glen 2013. The restorer of the car had a hardback book made showing
the comprehensive restoration process. The book is included with
the car, along with a notebook containing many receipts, the car's
award plaques and the original owner's manual.
