Vehicle Description
Professionally finished to very high standards, this unique Galaxie
claimed First Place Class at the 2010 Grand National Roadster Show,
an Award of Excellence at the Goodguys Del Mar Nationals and scored
a Top Ten at the SEMA Show 'N Shine on its way to being featured on
the cover of Street Rodder Magazine. The car's build began when its
hardtop body was fully blasted, fitted with fresh rockers and
welded to custom floors. That solid profile is host to excellent
customization, including a reimagined grille, shaved handles, a
nosed hood, modified trim and narrowed, tucked and smoothed
bumpers. Custom Raspberry Pearl 2-stage paint is complemented by a
custom leather interior, which centers custom seating on a custom
console inspired by an Alpine touchscreen audio. A custom dash
hangs Vintage Air conditioning next to Auto Meter telemetry. In
front of the driver, a Recaro steering wheel is mounted on a
tilting Flaming River column. Lower the power-operated windows and
you'll get a sense of the custom, RideTech-equipped suspension's
lowered height: a stance aided by power rack & pinion steering,
Wilwood disc brakes and 18" EVOD wheels. Inside the custom engine
bay resides a Roush Performance 427SR crate engine generating
460rwhp. On top of that engine, a 770cfm Holley carburetor feeds an
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, which, in turn, feeds CNC-ported
heads. At the back of the engine, a Gearstar-built C6 automatic
transmission, equipped with a Gear Vendor overdrive, spins a Currie
9" axle that's finished with a posi-traction differential and 3.73
gears. Included with this one-of-a-kind Ford is a build book, build
receipts, Roush Performance dyno results, a Roush Performance
fender tag, a copy of the car's Street Rodder feature and all the
car's awards.
