Vehicle Description
This national award-winning Bel Air is a great rendition of one of
America's most iconic automobiles. Even before its comprehensive,
body-off restoration conducted by Chevy specialist Bob Phelps, this
classic earned a prestigious Senior Award from the Antique
Automobile Club of America. Since the detailed freshening, the car
has left climate-controlled storage for just 180 miles of sunny
cruising, earning a Platinum Certificate from Classic Chevy
International. This drop-top boasts proper Bel Air ornamentation,
complementary dual antennas, optional trunk trim and a Continental
kit. Retract the power-operated roof and the beautiful Tropical
Turquoise paint flows seamlessly in to a sensational Turquoise and
Ivory interior. Power windows and a power front seat join an
optional tissue dispenser, an original Wonder Bar radio and a
vacuum ashtray to round out a list of desirable options. Under the
hood, Chevrolet's 283ci Super Turbo Fire V8 engine utilizes a
Carter 4-barrel carburetor serving up plenty of power. Cruising is
easy thanks to a correct Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission
and a correct posi-traction axle finished with 3.42 gears. The
drivetrain rides a fully restored chassis, outfitted with power
drum brakes and factory power steering. This 1957 Chevy includes
restoration photos, Classic Chevy International judging sheets, a
Classic Chevy International Platinum Certificate and an AACA grille
emblem.
