Vehicle Description
This professionally-restored Challenger was awarded First in Class
honors at the Carlisle Mopar Nationals and featured in Mopar Action
Magazine. The car's ground-up build began when its solid body was
thoroughly stripped, carefully worked and realigned. That profile
is augmented with Viper Orange 2-stage paint infused with extra
pearl and dressed in black stripes. A power-operated top stretches
Haartz Stayfast cloth over smoked glass, HID headlights and
body-matched sport mirrors. A lightly customized interior boasts
tasteful wood accents and bright stainless trim on thick Dynamat
insulation. The driver spins a classy Flaming River steering wheel
around factory Rallye Gauges and a tilting Flaming River column. A
custom console centers a TKO Pistol Grip Shifter between LED-lit
cup holders, switches for the car's power windows and a 7" JVC
stereo and DVD player that's Bluetooth-capable and MP3-compatible.
Under a Shaker Hood, a 472ci Mopar Performance HEMI engine makes
550 horsepower aided by a Comp cam with dual Edelbrock 625
carburetors. Power is distributed through a Tremec 5-speed manual
transmission, which spins an 8.75" rear axle equipped with a Sure
Grip differential and 3.91 gears. The car's fully rebuilt
suspension has been upfitted with tubular control arms, welded
subframe connectors, small lowering blocks and large sway bars.
Power-assisted steering and hydroboosted disc brakes join American
Racing wheels and Nitto Invo tires for improved drivability. This
superb Challenger's documentation includes a book of restoration
photos and a copy of the car's Mopar Action Magazine feature.
