Vehicle Description
A Triple Crown award-winner, including top honors from NCRS,
Bloomington and Chevy VetteFest, this fully documented Stingray is
a classic with a matching-numbers drivetrain in popular Corvette
colors. This 'Vette earned its Triple Crown moniker by claiming
NCRS Top Flight honors, Bloomington Gold certification and the
coveted Chevy VetteFest Gold Spinner Award. In early 2007 this
Corvette was subjected to an exhaustive 1,200-hour restoration
beyond its factory original aesthetics. The body-off rebuild began
with original, never-hit fiberglass being stripped completely bare
and recoated in correct Rally Red 2-stage paint contrasted by a
correct black interior further accented by a Teak steering wheel, a
correct AM/FM radio and correct optional headrests. Under the hood,
it boasts a 390hp L36 427ci engine, certified original by
Bloomington judge Kevin Mackey, augmented by a correct Holley
carburetor and correct Holley intake. This big block powers an
original Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission, also certified by
Bloomington judge Kevin Mackey. Correct power disc brakes join
partially original side pipes to frame a restored factory
suspension. At the corners of that suspension, authentic knockoffs
twist correct 7.75-15 Goodyear Power Cushion gold lines tires. This
Corvette includes ample documentation, including an original
Protect-O-Plate, pre-restoration photos, restoration photos,
restoration receipts, NCRS judging sheets, Bloomington judging
sheets, and all certificates and awards.
