True, many of these cars were mishandled, abused and trashed years ago, but this one—with only 51K miles—is still youthful and healthy because of pampered ownership.
A big part of the XJS’ appeal was the aluminum overhead-cam V12 engine that powered Jaguar’s best models for twenty years. Very reliable—if cared for—smooth and powerful, they are a joy to drive. The XJS models were the top-of-the-line Jaguars, built as a closed coupe and the open convertible like this one, which was kept by a local enthusiast in his car barn for years and purchased by us as a consequence of his downsizing.
