Vehicle Description
Reintroduced in 2008, the third generation Challenger was
reintroduced to compete with the resurrected Camaro and constantly
evolving Mustang. Based on the venerable LX platform that also
underpinned the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger, the new Challenger
utilized the latest Mopar engines and classic retro styling. It was
an extreme hit and the cars have been extremely popular. In 2015,
the Challenger Hellcat was introduced and featured a massive
supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8 engine that pumped out 707hp and 650lb-ft
of torque, the most powerful series production engine to date. It
could hit 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and top speed is claimed to be over
200 mph.
