1968 CHEVY CAMARO COUPE 427/425HP 5spd. Light Metallic Blue
exterior with black & white Houndstooth interior. Features:
Professional frame-off restoration of an almost rust-free car, 15
years ago. More recently had professional strip & repaint with
base-coat/clear-coat urethane and chassis and inner fender wells.
All trim, bumpers and grill have been restored recently as well.
The second to last owner did the majority of the work mentioned and
described to us the custom-built engine is a 1966 Corvette 390 hp
block recently rebuilt to 425 hp specs. Also installed: Edlebrock
aluminum intake, Holley 850 cfm carb, full length Hooker ceramic
coated headers and 2-1/2" custom exhaust. A new Tremec 5spd
transmission was added in the spring of 2008. Engine compartment is
highly detailed in billet aluminum and chrome accessories and
cooled with a 'Be Cool' brand custom aluminum radiator. The wheel
wells and firewall have been painted in high gloss
base-coat/clear-coat urethane. The rust free chassis has been
totally re-painted in satin black enamel. Front suspension has been
totally rebuilt with adapted front power disc brakes and new chrome
Corvette style master cylinder and 7" chrome booster. The original
differential houses new 373 posi-traction gears and added traction
bars. New 18" 45ZR series radials are mounted on 'Boss' aluminum
wheels. The original interior has been professionally upgraded with
new houndstooth black/white to match the original. Added Sun
Tachometer and oil pressure gauges have been added. A professional
added Eclipse brand stereo with 6 channel amp and JL Audio speakers
have been installed to carry your tunes. This excellent rust free
professionally restored Street Machine is a prime example of a
muscle car enthusiast desires. Even though the engine is not the
original numbers matching, the fact that it has a modified '66
Corvette 390 hp 427 machined and pro-built to 425hp by Auto Rons
gives this car tremendous market appeal. The quality workmanship,
components and especially the engine, makes it a blast to drive and
show. Has always been garaged and since restored not seen rain.
